Learning Community Call: April 16, 2020 (Smoke Free Policy)
The group discussed the potential for increased secondhand smoke (SHS) exposure in the home during the stay at home order, and had a smoke-free multi-unit housing (MUH) update from Technical Assistance Provider Peggy Sarcomo, Denver Public Health. Potential messaging around tobacco use and COVID-19 was discussed – with an emphasis on using already existing tobacco health risks research. Issues were shared from around the state about vape shops staying open despite not being designated “essential businesses”.
