Learning Community Call: June 18, 2020 (Smoke Free Policy)

This Smoke-Free LCC was a grantee update call, and the CSPH TA team showed a short video celebrating all the local tobacco prevention policy successes from 2018-2020. Congratulations and great work everyone! The group discussed a potential smoke-free policy window opening due to COVID-19 concerns, and how grantees can recommend making public areas with social distancing signage temporarily smoke-free. Any temporary smoke-free areas due to COVID-19 precautions could have the potential to drive smoke-free policy expansion in the future. There is also potential policy opportunity at the local level around smoke-free assisted living facilities – ANRF has some resources on their website around this issue, linked here under the assisted living tab.
