2023 Healthy Kids Colorado Survey Data is Coming

Statewide data will be released in late June, in the meantime, the HKCS office has announced that data will be available from most Health Statistics Regions. Schools that participated in the 2023 survey have their data now and may start sharing information with community partners including their local public health departments. Please review the link below for information on data sharing. More students participated in 2023 than any previous year at 120,239 young people – this includes 344 schools across Colorado, including 166 high schools and 178 middle schools. Despite that good news, there are still some gaps in the data. The following Health Statistics Regions (HSR) do not have representative 2023 data: HSR 1: Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, and Yuma Counties HSR 4: El Paso County HSR 5: Cheyenne, Elbert, Kit Carson, and Lincoln Counties HSR 18: Weld County This is two fewer HSRs than had representative data in 2021. Seventeen more middle schools participated in the survey via β€œopt-in” than participated in 2021. View the HKCS Participation Information Google Document.
