This Random Control Trial addresses key knowledge gaps by leveraging a federal smoking ban in an extensive public housing system, testing two novel treatments—(1) in-residence smoking cessation and (2) resident endorsement—while tackling tobacco-related disparities. It will be the first to evaluate compliance strategies’ impact on resident smoking and secondhand smoke exposure in multi-unit Housing.
