American Lung Association (ALA) State of Tobacco Control Report

The ALA recently released the 21st annual β€œState of Tobacco Control” report. The report assign letter grades evaluating state and federal governments on implementation of proven tobacco control laws and policies known to save lives. Colorado earned a β€œD” for tobacco prevention and cessation funding, a β€œB” for Smoke-free Air, a β€œC” for Tobacco Taxes, an β€œA” for Access to Cessation Services and an β€œF” for Flavored Tobacco Products. ALA recommends Colorado decision makers 1. Protect and increase funding for tobacco prevention and cessation, 2. Eliminate the sale of all flavored tobacco products and 3. Protect and close loopholes in state or local smokefree laws. For more information, please use the link below.
