American Lung Association (ALA) State of Tobacco Control Report
The ALA recently released the 21st annual βState of Tobacco Controlβ report. The report assign letter grades evaluating state and federal governments on implementation of proven tobacco control laws and policies known to save lives. Colorado earned a βDβ for tobacco prevention and cessation funding, a βBβ for Smoke-free Air, a βCβ for Tobacco Taxes, an βAβ for Access to Cessation Services and an βFβ for Flavored Tobacco Products. ALA recommends Colorado decision makers 1. Protect and increase funding for tobacco prevention and cessation, 2. Eliminate the sale of all flavored tobacco products and 3.
