The association between health and health care is so strong that many politicians and people assume that health and health care are the same. Until health and non-health stakeholders (and the public) start demanding that governments implement greater, more effective action to improve health and reduce inequities through action outside the healthcare sector, this important distinction will likely continue to be lost.
