Calling for Youth Submissions (deadline extended to April 1)

UpRISE, Colorado’s social justice youth tobacco control movement, creates a “Statewide Activity” each year to generate action around issues important to teens. The Statewide activity is created by UpRISE’s Youth Action Board. This year, UpRISE’s Youth Action Board has chosen to co-create a book with young Colorado artists about how youth are shaping their world.

We invite you to share this

with youth, youth-serving organizations, or schools. Art can be in many forms including poetry, creative writing, visual art, performance art, music, sculpture and more. Art submissions can respond to one or more of the following prompts:

  • How are you and your generation shaping the world?
  • What does a fair/just world look like to you?
  • How does your current world affect your wellbeing?
  • What would you like others to take away from the power or wisdom you hold as a young person?
  • How do you see youth voices improving your community?
