Catch My Breath" Tool to Address Vaping in Schools
The news of youth vaping use is consistently in the news and is not going away anytime soon. Meanwhile, school administrators continue to grapple with what to do about it. If you're not sure what to do, you can work with schools to adopt a comprehensive approach in addressing youth tobacco use, and encourage all school personnel and students to enforce and support the tobacco-free schools policy. For additional support, you can use youth-supported intervention tools like the
CATCH My Breath youth vaping prevention program
.
About this program:
- It is free to schools and organizations thanks, in part, to a grant from the CVS Health Foundation.
- It was developed in partnership with the Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Public Health and is an evidence-based approach to youth vaping prevention.
- It has a service-learning project component that allows students to earn volunteer hours and scholarships while fighting this epidemic.
