QuitLine provides information to family, friends and community members who do not use tobacco. Recently a person contacted the QuitLine asking for 20 promotional postcards to give to his neighbors to assist them in quitting smoking. QuitLine provides verbal, print and electronic information as appropriate to people who use tobacco, non-users, family and community members on tobacco-related topics, including, but not limited to: Colorado Quitline services, tobacco use disorder and treatment, FDA-approved cessation medications, dangers of secondhand smoke exposure, recommendations for family and friends on how to support a tobacco user through a quit attempt, community-based resources, and chronic disease information as it relates to tobacco use and quitting tobacco.
