Free Breast and Cervical Cancer Screenings Available to Women in Colorado

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is elevating the importance of staying up-to-date on routine cancer screenings, such as mammograms and Pap tests. In an effort to encourage Coloradans to engage in valuable preventive care, CDPHE recently launched a campaign to raise awareness of the Women’s Wellness Connection, a program that offers these life-saving tests for free at more than 100 clinics across the state to individuals who qualify. As part of this effort, CDPHE has created a campaign toolkit with materials for community partners’ use in their communities. We invite you to please join us in raising awareness of the importance of these screenings and the existence of the Women’s Wellness Connection program. Toolkit materials are available in English and Spanish and include: • Social media posts • 30-second videos (English and Spanish) • Newsletter content • Radio ad scripts • Text message language • Direct mail piece language • Posters • Postcards • Rack cards • Press release templates • A prescription pad with the Women’s Wellness Connection logo The Women’s Wellness Connection program serves women ages 21 to 64 without health insurance or limited insurance and have a demonstrated financial need. The program welcomes all people in Colorado, including those who are transgender or gender nonconforming (TGNC) and need breast and cervical cancer screenings as part of their routine health care. To find out more about the program, visit womenswellnessconnection.org and/or tuconexiondebienestar.org. Individuals may also call the American Cancer Society at 1-866-951-9355 for help finding a clinic that offers free or low-cost cancer screenings as part of the Women’s Wellness Connection program near them.
