FY24-26 Commercial Tobacco Control Community Framework for Local Public Health Agencies

FY24-26 Commercial Tobacco Control Community Framework for Local Public Health Agencies STEPP local public health partners, community organizations, and other commercial tobacco* control allies to carry out our 2021-2030 Strategic Plan. We are re-centering our tobacco work around our North Star: advancing health and racial equity for a stronger Colorado. Equity is when everyone, regardless of who they are or where they come from, has the opportunity to thrive. This requires eliminating barriers like poverty and repairing injustices in systems such as education, health, criminal justice, and transportation. (Office of Health Equity Glossary of Terms, 2nd Edition) This framework provides a comprehensive outline of our FY24-FY26 approaches to Local Public Health Agency-led (LPHA) work. Additionally, this document contains guidance on required capacity-building and strategic activities. *Tobacco, in this document, refers specifically to the use of manufactured, commercial tobacco products and not the sacred, medicinal, and traditional use of tobacco by American Indian people and other groups.
