Secondhand Smoke

Grantee or Community Feature: Record-Breaking One Step In-Person Training!

We had the largest ONE Step training in the history of the program with 101 early childhood educators and support staff in La Junta for the Early Head Start at Otero College. This training prepared, equipped, and empowered early childhood educators and support staff to help protect the lung health of our youngest and most vulnerable Coloradans from the effects of secondhand smoke and aerosol. The program focuses on how educators can encourage parents and caregivers to take action in childcare settings, at home, and in cars to establish and maintain lung-friendly environments that protect childrenโ€™s health.
