May is Asian Pacific American month

Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month is a month to celebrate and pay tribute to the contributions generations of Asian/Pacific Americans have made to American history, society and culture. Because of structural and systemic barriers, Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders face inequities related to health, education, finances, and personal safety. We must also recognize the heightened fear felt by many Asian American communities due to COVID-19-related anti-Asian harassment and violence. Read the White House’s Proclamation here.
