Nederland says “NO” to on-site marijuana consumption

On Tuesday, March 2, the Town of Nederland’s Board of Trustees unanimously voted to opt-out of provisions set forth in House Bill 19-1230, thereby prohibiting the operation of marijuana hospitality establishments that could offer on-site consumption of marijuana. Public comment provided by Boulder TEPP and other members of the Healthy Futures Coalition focused on concerns of driver impairment, the right to smoke-free air for all, and setting a positive example for youth. This decision makes Nederland the 17th community in Colorado to prohibit onsite consumption of marijuana.
