New Practice Guidance for Expanding Pharmacy-Based Tobacco Cessation
The American Pharmacists Association has released a new resource that outlines opportunities for pharmacy professionals to implement and expand tobacco cessation services in community-based pharmacy practice. As a reminder, HERE is the background on how Colorado has expanded access to tobacco treatment through pharmacists. The resource can be found here. This tool can be used to inform conversations and as an introduction for local pharmacists who are interested in providing cessation services. STEPP encourages grantees to outreach to pharmacists in their communities to support them in implementing and/or expanding their cessation efforts.
