NEW: Smoke, Aerosol and Tobacco-Free Model Policies for Childcare Settings

Please connect with childcare centers in your area and support them in adopting a comprehensive smoke, aerosol, tobacco-free policy. The American Lung Association (ALA) in Colorado can provide support at no cost to childcare centers looking to implement a comprehensive policy. ALA also offers the grant-funded ONE Step program which helps organizations engage parents in conversations about creating smoke and aerosol-free environments for their children. Through the free program, childcare center staff learn about the health impacts of second and thirdhand smoke, aerosol from electronic smoking devices, and receive basic education about asthma. Please contact Valerie Steinmetz at ALA (Valerie.Steinmetz@lung.org) or Zach Dunlop at STEPP (zach.dunlop@state.co.us) for more information.
