New Youth Mental Health and Wellness Funding Opportunity
The Colorado Department of Law (DOL) announced a new youth mental health and wellness funding opportunity to distribute money from the state’s $31.7 million lawsuit settlement with e-cigarette manufacturer Juul Labs Inc. This opportunity is for School Districts, Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES), formal or informal networks of Charter Schools, Indian tribes or tribal organizations, and community partners that work with these educational institutions. The DOL is seeking applications for collaborative, community-driven projects in coordination with schools that increase protective factors for children and youth to decrease vaping. The focus of this funding opportunity is to support educational institutions and programs that build school/community connectedness and belonging for youth, promote the skills of trusted adults to support youth, and/or promote positive school climates and student resiliency. View additional information, along with the Request for Applications, on the Colorado Attorney General’s website.
