QuitLine Quality Improvement

Colorado constantly seeks to improve QuitLine services to meet the changing needs of our communities. STEPP and QuitLine staff listen critically to feedback from grantees and participants to inform change. We also continuously collect QuitLine participant data, look for patterns in the data and make the adjustments based on what is working well, and what isnโ€™t. As we move forward together to advance tobacco treatment access for Coloradans who havenโ€™t benefited equally from current tobacco control efforts, addressing systemic barriers to treatment and adapting services for those who are underserved is an ongoing commitment. To better serve all Coloradans, QuitLine now collects an enhanced set of self-identification questions on the website during registration. These questions are completely confidential and optional. We have also included features to help online participants understand why the questions are asked. Responses do not impact eligibility for services. Colorado also offers expanded web-based services, including live web chat and self-order NRT (patches, gum and lozenges). These services give Coloradans more options to get the help they need to reach their tobacco treatment goals, 24/7. STEPP relies on the perspectives and expertise of grantees and community members to improve QuitLine services. We encourage you to continue to share both success stories and examples of where we have room to improve. We are eager to learn from you.
