QuitLine Resource Requests - May 2, 2023

Chances are, you’ve received an email from STEPP asking you to connect with a local provider that is requesting resources from the QuitLine. If you haven’t, you will eventually. Through our printing contractor, STEPP is able to provide access to various free promotional materials including customizable posters, brochures, and digital media, intended to direct individuals to the QuitLine website for more information. Rather than respond directly to these requests, the program consciously forwards them to grantees so you can establish or strengthen relationships with providers in your community to better promote tobacco treatment resources. These items and more are available for order at www.cohealthresources.org Over the past couple of months, multiple requests originated from Mesa County. Brandon Gray, Community Health Planner and STEPP Grantee, followed up on these requests and agreed to share his thoughts about making local connections. “I think that is an excellent way to look at it. The people I have fielded these requests for at the local level here in Mesa County also agree and appreciate the ability to have a local connection for resources. The follow-up on the request and the delivery of the materials allowed me to meet with the organizations directly and have conversations that otherwise wouldn’t have taken place.” We look forward to checking back in with Brandon in a few months to hear how these new relationships evolve.
