Reading Corner: Updated summary of smoking treatments

In February, JAMA published “Treatment of Tobacco Smoking: A Review.” At 12 pages (2.3 of which are citations), there is no more succinct review of the burden of tobacco and the most recent data supporting the available evidence-based treatments. This article doesn’t share a lot of information that will be new to Colorado’s tobacco control veterans. It is a great primer on cessation treatments for newer staff and is a handy resource for the most recent research (all but one citation are from 2014 or later; many are from 2020 & 2021).
