Resources for Grantees: Treating Nicotine and Opioid Addiction Simultaneously
Written before the pandemic began, the authors Drs. Chad Morris & Christine Garver-Apgar put together a series of points about why nicotine and opioids should be treated simultaneously.
They follow this statement with outlines of clinical policy implications for altering workflows to accomplish this co-treatment goal. This article may be useful to public health officials attempting to reach out to staff in substance abuse during what is now our growing triple epidemic (or our epidemic within an epidemic within a pandemic).
