Resources: UpRISE Now Recruiting Youth Board members and Youth-serving Organizations/Schools for Advocacy Mini-Grants

UpRISE’s NOW Recruiting Youth Action Board: Our YAB consists of ten youth leaders (ages 12-24) from across Colorado who meet regularly via Zoom to discuss social justice topics, build leadership skills, and advise on goals and direction of the movement as a whole. Applications due by September 16, 2022. Apply here. Advocacy mini-grantees: Youth gain important skills and confidence when they engage in advocacy AND decision-makers often desire to hear from youth on issues that impact them. Therefore, we developed the advocacy mini-grantee option. During the mini-burst grant, groups will select and complete two advocacy activities that introduce youth to tobacco prevention work. This happens over a 3 month period. If you are a youth-serving organization or a school interested in advocacy and willing to introduce youth to tobacco prevention work with a social justice lens, please apply. To apply, you must complete and submit the Advocacy Burst Mini-Grant Application Form. Grant applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until April 30, 2023.
