Share the 2019 LGBTQ Tobacco Survey
Are you planning to attend your local PrideFest? Help Jen Woodard and the LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness Collaborative collect valuable data while you attend. See below or follow
to read the directions and access the QR code (also in the photo above) and share the survey with people you meet at Pride. Most Local Public Health agencies are planning to have booths at the local Pride Celebrations starting in June this year. The LGBTQ+ Health and Wellness Collaborative would love it if you could help gather baseline data on tobacco/nicotine use in LGBTQ communities across the state. It’s really easy:
- Open the QR code take a picture of it with your phone and it will automatically send you to the survey.
- You can print many copies of the QR code and put them on your booths or give them to your surveyors. Or, you can post QR codes on social media
Anyone can fill out the survey but of course, we would like to especially reach tobacco users or ex-users. The survey will stay open until mid-September in order to include all of the Pride Celebrations around the state. Some hints to attract and engage people at your booth:
- Giveaways always help if you have SWAG or a bowl of candy, drawing for gift cards etc.
- One idea, after someone has filled out the survey have them put their phone # in a fish bowl for a 3 pm drawing and you can call on their phone if they win to pick up their gift card… they don’t even have to give you their name.
- Use LGBTQ posters and brochures from
- Use the Express Yourself Campaign to order posters
- LGBTQ specific Quitline brochures
- Offer LGBTQ specific resources: (Business Card size handouts are always good or you could have laptops at your booths with the following pages up and running)
Let’s put Colorado on the LGBTQ map with a huge data set of LGBTQ smokers/vapers/smokeless tobacco users/hooka users…. All of the above!! Contact Jennifer Woodard,
