The American Indian Commercial Tobacco Program (AICTP) is a service of National Jewish Health. Here is an AICTP success story: β€œI feel like only Natives can understand our struggle against cigarettes. It helps to talk to a Coach who has empathy. Thank you for having this service available,” says Joe. He’s gone nine months without having a cigarette. β€œI owe my success to the AICTP Quitline.” Joe, 54 Those who enroll in the AICTP receive coaching from native coaches. A message from an AICTP coach: β€œI know firsthand how difficult it can be to change a habit, which is why I am happy to be a part of the American Indian Commercial Tobacco Program,” she says. β€œI want to help you on your journey. I will listen and understand, and help you wherever you are in your journey. Whether you are just starting out, or have had a relapse. We’ve all been there.
