Cessation

Update on Utilizing QuitLine Resources

The Colorado QuitLine program is experiencing an influx of requests for cessation promotion materials through cohealthresources. With our new subscription-based cohealthresources platform, which grantees have access to, we see this as an opportunity to position local health agencies as go-to tobacco control experts in communities. In fulfilling these requests for materials, you can enhance current relationships and develop new ones, offering additional policy and cessation support. What This Means for Grantees Going forward, grantees can expect to receive requests from STEPP to help fulfill cohealthresources orders for local community partners. These efforts are a natural fit for required community engagement and cessation promotion foundational grant activities, as well as work in other strategic areas. We also strongly encourage grantees to maximize these exchanges to learn more about community partner efforts and objectives and offer support for additional systems change and policy work. Look forward to additional detail in the coming weeks. For immediate questions on the new process, contact Dee-Dee Vallez at dee-dee.vallez@state.co.us. For technical assistance to support systems change throughout the health neighborhood, contact Jim Pavlik at jim.pavlik@ucdenver.edu.
