Updated: Local Smoke- and Vapor-Free Policies

An updated compendium of local smoke- and vapor-free policies, shared on last week’s Smoke-Free Learning Community Call is now live on TobaccoFreeCO. This tool documents local municipal codes across the state and the smoke-free components they do (or do not) contain. Policy components are highlighted in green, yellow, or red based on whether they are stronger, equal to, or weaker than the Colorado Clean Indoor Air Act (CCIAA). The tool is intended to be utilized as an informational tool by grantees and can serve as a conversation starter with decision-makers around the need for updating local policy to align with or be stronger than the CCIAA. Please take some time over the next few weeks to review your county or counties and contact Keith Cooper (Keith.Cooper@state.co.us), Smoke-free Policy Specialist, if you have any updates.
