UpRISE Funding for Schools and Youth-Serving Organizations

UpRISE, Coloradoโ€™s social justice youth tobacco control movement, has three opportunities for funding this year for youth-serving organizations and/or schools. Each opportunity is described briefly below and includes the intended age range, the amount of funding per group, and the duration of engagement. All applications are hyperlinked:

  • Introduction to UpRISE coalition- integrates social, emotional learning, tobacco education, and anti-tobacco advocacy for middle school youth (10-14-year-olds, $3,500 funding, 8-10 sessions).
  • UpRISE coalitions- supports (high school) youth to discuss identity, identify a root cause of nicotine use, and organize for change (14-18-year-olds, $4,500 funding, academic year).
  • Advocacy Burst - introduces youth to tobacco control with a social justice approach by engaging them in planning and executing a tobacco advocacy activity (10-24-year-olds, $500, 1-time advocacy activity).
