Why Local Tobacco Retail Licensing Still Matters

Local tobacco retail licensing work by grantees should continue even with the passage of Colorado State Bill HB20-1001 establishing statewide licensing. HB20-1001 provides the minimum standard of protection for Coloradans by setting licensing as the foundation that local jurisdictions can, and should, build upon to establish comprehensive youth tobacco and nicotine product protections within communities. To help you with this effort, the CSPH TA Team put together talking points on why local tobacco retail licensing still matters. Please let your CSPH TA provider know if you have any questions. For more information on HB20-1001, contact Tracy Doyle.
